Donald Trump poses an unprecedented threat to our democracy. He has engaged in multiple abuses of power since assuming the presidency again. The Framers designed the Impeachment Clause for this very reason – to address a corrupt president who tramples on the Constitution.

Trump is not a monarch. He is beholden to the Constitution, as is Congress. If we are to preserve our democracy for the people, then Congress has a duty to investigate and, if necessary, remove a corrupt executive.
