Hello JOhn,
Women worldwide are often the backbone of their families and communities, responsible for nurturing the health and well-being of many lives. Yet, in their selfless dedication, their own needs often go unnoticed. By empowering women with the resources and opportunities to thrive ([link removed] ) , we uplift them and spark a ripple of positive change that impacts everyone around them, echoing throughout entire communities for generations.
In Gokwe North, Zimbabwe, Jacquelyne is a devoted mother and farmer. Through the Planting Seeds for Strong Communities project, led by Rise Against Hunger and in-country partner ADRA, Jacquelyne received agricultural training and learned how to create cooking oil. Since joining the project, Jacquelyne has now earned an income to further her education, pay for her children’s school fees and improve her family’s livelihood. Her journey has not only empowered her but has also inspired other women in her community to pursue entrepreneurship ([link removed] ) .
