Beto O'Rourke built one of the best
grassroots networks this country has ever seen.

I saw it in action when I campaigned with him in Texas in 2018 --
crowds thousands deep showing up on a rainy weekend morning
because of how deeply they believed in turning Texas blue.

Beto has been one of my closest friends since we both entered
Congress together in 2012. He's continuing his work today with
Powered X People in Texas to build on the progressive momentum in
the state. I'm so grateful and excited to host a grassroots
conversation with him this coming Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:40pm -
and I'd love for you to join us.

Normally, we hold these grassroots conversations out in a living
room or union hall or backyard. But this crisis has shifted the
way we do things, moving all our operations online. The upside is
that I am able to invite folks from all across this commonwealth
and country to join us for this conversation.

grassroots activism. Here in Massachusetts, we're building a
campaign built by and driven by people. And we'd love for you to

With Beto and I, there is no knowing what we'll end up talking
about. When I was driving around Texas with him campaigning, we
spent hours on Facebook Live talking about everything from health
care reform to our marriage proposals (mine was a disaster --
btw). A few weeks ago we were on Instagram Live together trying
to talk about COVID response, and instead my son James stole the
camera to tell the world how many cookies he'd eaten that day.

Which is all to say: This will be a good conversation and a great
way to come together during these times we're apart. Hope you'll
