Dear Friend,
This weekend, the New York Times ran a front-page story about Trump’s far-reaching and illegal attacks on U.S. climate policy.
As I said in the article: This is no stately tennis match; this is full on Fight Club.
Earthjustice is already in the ring.
*We have sued the Trump administration for its illegal attempts to expand offshore drilling to every coastline in America.
*We are suing to restore references to climate change Trump removed from government websites.
*We are suing to stop the Trump administration’s attempts to meddle in states’ environmental policies.
And we’re not stopping. As long as they keep attacking our planet and our rights, we’ll keep filing lawsuits.
Like many of you, I have been up late nights and early mornings ever since Trump started his assault on the environment and the rule of law.
But I am not alone. Our attorneys work with determination and legal expertise to defend farmers who need climate data to plant their crops. They fight for families in North Carolina who lost their homes to climate-related flooding and for parents who don’t want their kids drinking lead from the tap water. They do this work for all of us, for our planet, and for our future.
And every day I go to work, your trust, your actions, and your support keeps me going. It is your belief in us that reminds me:
If this is fight club, we are not going to lose.
Sincerely,
Abigail Dillen, Earthjustice President

P.S. Today, Earthjustice filed a new lawsuit against the Trump administration, fighting back on the administration’s illegal attempt to meddle in New York state’s climate policy, specifically its policy on congestion pricing in New York City. This case is about more than just one policy. It is about reining in Trump’s repeated attempts to act beyond his constitutional authority.
To support this lawsuit and all of the critical work we do to protect our planet, our communities, and our future, please donate to Earthjustice today.
