Dear John,
We had an amazing two days in NYC at Never Is Now, the world’s largest summit on antisemitism and hate. We’d like to share some spotlights from the amazing mainstage sessions with you as part of the ADL community.
On Monday, the event kicked off with memorable moments from General Yoav Gallant, ADL’s Courage Against Hate Award honoree Daniel Lubetzky, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt and so many more.
And yesterday had even more energizing highlights:
- Actress and Producer Gal Gadot
was honored with the ADL International Leadership Award for her commitment to combating antisemitism and promoting global tolerance. In her speech to the Never Is Now audience, the global icon proclaimed, “I am proud to be Jewish and proud to be an Israeli.” She went on to say: “But this is a time when many of us in the Jewish community have had to find our voice and confront the hatred against us, even if it’s extremely uncomfortable.”

- We were honored to present this year’s ADL Changemaker Award to the legendary Billie Jean King, a trailblazer on and off the court, who continues to break barriers and inspire generations through her fight for equality and LGBTQ+ rights and her support for the Jewish community. In conversation with Juju Chang,
she shared that “I knew that maybe, just maybe I could make the world a better place if I could become number one. What ADL does, if you think about it, is have everyone matter. Because every single person matters.”
-
Jessica S. Tisch, Police Commissioner of the City of New York, took the stage and boldly made a vow about people who threaten Jews and the Jewish community of New York: “They will be held accountable and our city will not go backwards. Not on my watch.”
- Actor and producer David Schwimmer urged others who have a high profile and an audience but have chosen not to lift up their voice, “I really wish you would. I wish you would stand up. I wish you would speak out” as he introduced ADL’s #HeroesAgainstHate.
You can watch and share the moving moments and inspirational conversations from yesterday’s closing session at neverisnow.org.
Sincerely,
ADL
