Last night Trump gave his address to a joint session of Congress and put forward his far-right, authoritarian vision for our nation’s future.
I want to share my response, and the response of crucial leaders from across Massachusetts who are pushing back against this administration.
The truth is that we were warned what would happen if Trump was allowed back in the Oval Office.
The dangerous ideas laid out in Project 2025 — the far-right ‘playbook’ for a radical remaking of American government and society — are being put into action by Trump’s administration.
Trump has allowed Elon Musk to fire thousands of federal workers, illegally slash budgets, and shield the administration from transparency.
Trump has pushed through cabinet appointments who are historically unqualified and weaponized the Department of Justice and other agencies for political aims.
Now he is working with his enablers in Congress to push through a massive tax cut for billionaires at the expense of funding for Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security.
It’s more important than ever before that we respond to Trump’s politics of authoritarianism and fear with an organizing grassroots movement that will stand up for our values.
