I want to tell you a little bit about how my husband Hank acts immediately before elections...
Actually, he behaves normally. He acts just like he always does, John.
He doesn’t panic about fundraising. He doesn’t try to change or pivot his views. He doesn’t become focused upon electability or selling himself as something he isn’t. He remains fully focused upon fighting for Georgians and all everyday Americans.
We are on the eve of an important election for Hank, and he’s busy promoting a common-sense gun reform bill he wrote with Elizabeth Warren, standing up to Gov. Kemp, working to educate the public on COVID-19 and fighting for racial equity -- all the things he would normally be doing. Focused on the people, not winning elections.
That’s what I love about Hank both as my husband and as my Congressman. He doesn’t obsess over elections and keeps cookin’ with gas in his efforts for everyday folks.
So while he’s busy doing what he does best, I volunteered to send a fundraising email to you. As you may have heard, Hank is facing his final end-of-month deadline before his June 9th primary and he still needs to raise another $2,108 within 72 hours to meet his goal. Hank is facing multiple primary opponents -- one of whom has blasted him with negative ads online. He needs the resources to fight back before May 31st. Will you throw in $15, $25 or whatever you can afford?
Hank fights for all of us every day, and now we need to fight for him so he can win on June 9th. Can we count on you, John?
Yours,
Mereda
