John,
Tonight, President Trump delivered a joint address to Congress outlining his agenda and his progress so far this term. It was a sobering reminder of why I decided to run for Congress to represent West Michigan.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve witnessed an administration more invested in dismantling our democracy and enriching themselves than helping the American people, as well as a House Republican majority emboldened to follow its lead. West Michigan families deserve leaders who put their country before their party; it’s why I decided to run for Congress.
In 2022, I became the first pro-choice woman elected to serve West Michigan and the first Democrat in 50 years to flip this Republican stronghold. This wasn’t just a win; it was a declaration.
That’s why I’m doing everything I can to fight back and win a majority that prioritizes their constituents, not unelected billionaires. MI-03 continues to be at the center of that battle. The Cook Political Report is calling us one of the most competitive races in the country, meaning our seat will be critical in reining in the Trump-Musk administration. If you’re with me, I hope you’ll consider growing our grassroots network with a contribution to our campaign.
