First, Elon Musk and Donald Trump slashed thousands of Social Security
employees, with some reports that up to 50% of the agency will be cut,
putting benefits for tens of millions of Americans at risk.

Then, Elon Musk went on a podcast and called Social Security “the biggest
Ponzi Scheme of all time,” reminding us of what we’ve known all along: the
Trump administration doesn’t care about workers making ends meet (or, you
know, real facts) as long as their billionaire buddies get their tax
breaks.

What a load of BS. Social Security is a promise that our government makes
to workers, who pay into the program. (Remember: Social Security adds $0
to the deficit!)

Given Trump’s history of stiffing people who worked for him, it’s not
surprising that he now wants to break our government’s promise to workers.
But when he and his allies threaten something so disgusting, we have to
speak up.

Our organization’s name, Truth to Power, reflects the importance of
confronting cheaters and liars with cold, hard facts. Our mission is to
elect Democrats who will be powerful voices for truth and who will fight
like hell to protect programs like Social Security, no matter how much
corrupt billionaires want to tear it apart.
