[link removed] [[link removed]] President Trump will give his first address to Congress since being sworn in as President in January.
There’s no doubt: the first six weeks of the Trump administration has been a disaster for working Coloradans. While he talks tonight, hardworking families are already feeling the consequences of his administration’s reckless decisions.
Let me give you one example of the chaos Trump’s created: Amelia Huffman is a veteran and U.S. Forest Service worker from Fort Collins. Amelia and her colleagues were just illegally fired by the Trump administration—right as Colorado enters peak wildfire season. Without them, Colorado is at higher wildfire risk and we’ll all have less access to our public lands.
On top of that, the Trump administration's fired thousands of veterans, cut funding for crucial cancer research, and so much more.
Trump needs to address the pain and uncertainty he’s causing our working families, veterans, and farmers. But if his first few weeks in office have told us anything, I’m not holding my breath.
From his first day back in office, the Trump administration has shown their preference to slash federal health care programs, access to our public lands, and medical research to pave the way for massive tax cuts for billionaires.
We’re focused on protecting Coloradans in every corner of our state from their dangerous actions.
I hope I can count on your support as we fight back against whatever outlandish plans Trump unveils tonight. So before his speech, will you chip in to help me keep fighting for Colorado and stop Trump’s dangerous agenda? [[link removed]]
