Friend, this is urgent:
Widespread funding cuts could impact millions of children in need of lifesaving vaccines and those who are experiencing severe acute
malnutrition globally.
These cuts come alongside the loss of other programs that save millions of lives across the globe, protecting people everywhere from the spread of polio and other infectious diseases. UNICEF’s polio eradication efforts have been vital in preventing the disease from crossing borders and escalating into a world health crisis – including in the U.S.
Each year, UNICEF helps vaccinate more than 400 million children, annually procuring and distributing over 1 billion polio vaccines alone. This monumental effort has changed lives and helped children avoid preventable deaths. As recently as last year, teams jumped into action to lead a massive immunization campaign after an outbreak in Gaza.
UNICEF is also a global leader in fighting malnutrition, procuring 80 percent of the world's ready-to-use therapeutic food for children, including lifesaving products from American farmers. Funding cuts put this work at risk.
Your support now allows all of UNICEF’s work to continue and helps protect decades of progress.
Friend, in this time of uncertainty when resources are being cut short, a monthly gift from you provides steady and lasting support that UNICEF can rely on to immunize children as we work to ensure they survive and thrive.
Become a monthly donor today to ensure UNICEF’s work continues for children. A group of generous donors will match your first monthly gift
— dollar for dollar.
Friend, this is our worst funding crisis in decades and we need your help more than ever. The work that UNICEF does to protect children cannot stop. The work that thousands of global programs everywhere have done to keep people healthy, safe and protected cannot stop either.
As we continue to learn more about cuts to programs that protect children, we will do everything we can to advocate for UNICEF’s work and reach children with the support they need.
UNICEF strives to be there for every child — no matter where they live or what challenges they face.
Your first monthly gift, which will be matched 2X, will go the distance to help wherever and however UNICEF can continue to support children.
Thank you for meeting the moment,
Michael J. Nyenhuis
