Donald Trump’s reckless tariffs went into effect at midnight last night, and Granite Staters will be the ones paying the price — literally.

Our economy depends on trade with Canada — helping support small businesses and jobs across our state. Now Granite Staters will feel the squeeze of higher prices at the gas pump, when we pay our heating bills, and at the checkout counter. And housing costs are set to climb even more because of increased prices on lumber.

Let’s be clear: These tariffs aren’t about helping working families. They’re political posturing at our expense. That's why Chris is fighting to keep costs down and ensure that Granite Staters aren’t left paying the price for Trump’s reckless policies.
