Folks, I stand with the people of Ukraine seeking support from their American allies after the Russian invasion.

That’s why I was so appalled by Donald Trump and J.D. Vance’s outburst at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week.

Now more than ever, we need to shore up support for our fellow democracies overseas, not alienate them in support of dictatorships like Russia.

We cannot abandon the people of Ukraine, not after three long years of war.

Americans have always sided with freedom and democracy — we cannot turn our backs on Ukraine now. Especially not when Putin is trying to seize more power and manipulate Trump.

I’m committed to working in the Senate to secure support for Ukraine and fight for democracies worldwide.
