Last week, House Republicans announced they would try to jam Trump’s extreme budget proposal through the House of Representatives. This budget would cut critical funding for federal programs which hard-working Americans rely on, just so Trump can give tax breaks to his billionaire friends.
At the time of this announcement, I was in the hospital in California recovering from multiple surgeries. However, I knew House Democrats would need to stand united against this disastrous budget proposal.
I left the hospital and rushed straight to the airport so I could fly to DC and vote NO on this extreme agenda.
