1. A Fresh Look for CNL's Newsletter and Website in 2025
Welcome to The New Liberal Bulletin — a fresh new look for our monthly newsletter.
The New Liberal Bulletin isn’t just an email —it’s also the name of our blog, where we’re ramping up written content from CNL leadership and members. Our website’s homepage [[link removed]] and “What We Believe” [[link removed]] page also got sleek refreshes, making it easier to find our latest blog posts and podcasts, and see what we believe.
Check out our first piece [[link removed]] in The New Liberal Bulletin , where CNL’s Matt Hughes and Morgan Rinehart argue that Senator Thom Tillis is putting political gain over national security.
2. The 2024 CNL Impact Report
Check out CNL’s first Annual Impact Report [[link removed]] , courtesy of Steering Committee member Tyler Laferriere-Holloway.

Golden Statements - Is This House in the Wrong City? [[link removed]]
By Bay Area New Liberals | February 4

Why doesn't anything work? Why does it take so long to build housing, or green energy, or infrastructure? Why is the government so often inefficient and uncapable? Marc Dunkelman joins the podcast to discuss his new book Why Nothing Works . We talk about the history of the progressive movement and how two separate impulses - the centralization of power vs the decentralization of power - have caused progressive governance to run off the rails.
