The United States’ tariffs took effect today. And this is your chance to tell us how you think your government should respond.

The U.S. imposed tariffs of 10 per cent on Canadian energy sold into the U.S. and 25 per cent on all other Canadian goods sold into the U.S.

The Canadian government said it’s responding with retaliatory tariffs on $30 billion of goods we import from the U.S. The government of Canada also said it will ratchet up tariffs on more goods if U.S. tariffs continue.

Tariffs are another form of tax that will make your life more expensive. That’s why it’s so important to know where you stand on tariffs and how you think the Canadian government should respond.
