Friend,
The Nevada desert isn't just open land—it’s sacred ground for Indigenous tribes, a refuge for wildlife, and a vital part of our natural and cultural heritage.
This month marks two years since we celebrated the designation of Avi Kwa Ame National Monument, securing protections for nearly half a million acres of sacred land in southern Nevada.
Now, those protections are under threat. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum has ordered a review of Avi Kwa Ame and other national monuments designated under the Antiquities Act—potentially opening them up to oil, gas, and mining interests.
We can’t let this happen.
Trump and his administration tried to strip protections from public lands before. We stopped them then, and we can stop them again.
Friend, please: Add your name and sign on here to protect Avi Kwa Ame. We must act now to defend our most cherished landscapes.
Thanks for stepping up,
Susie |
