PRC: Majority of Americans continue to favor moving away from Electoral College
As has been the case for over 200 years, the Electoral College determined the outcome of the U.S. presidential race last year. Yet most Americans have long supported moving away from this system.
More than six-in-ten Americans (63%) would instead prefer to see the winner of the presidential election be the person who wins the most votes nationally. Roughly a third (35%) favor retaining the Electoral College system, according to a Pew Research Center survey of 9,720 adults conducted last fall.
We're clearly all tired of a system where all our candidates and their campaigns care about is whether the margin of victory is close enough in the state to make it worthwhile to campaign there instead of speaking to real Americans with real challenges.
The people who tell you we can't get rid of the Electoral College are wrong. Chip in $25 or more to help us change to a popular vote system once and for all >> [[link removed]]

Defenders of voting rights like Cory Booker, AOC, Robert Reich, and Stacey Abrams recognize that the Electoral College is harming our democracy and needs to go.
It’s the biggest tool the opponents of voting rights have to swing national elections and suppress the will of the people. We have to move to a system that's right and just over a system that benefits only themselves and silences others.
This is about the people's voices being heard and their votes meaning something . This is about a system that has rewarded the popular vote loser with the job anyway five times now. This about the people and the states that get ignored and lost along the way to *just enough* Electoral College votes.
The Electoral College is an antiquated system built for a vastly different America and we need to adapt to our changing needs as a democracy. Fuel our efforts with $25 or whatever you can today to help end it >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
