Hi there,
In uncertain times like this, it can be difficult to know what to do next. While there are plenty of causes that folks can put energy into, the team at GGWash are continuing to work towards better housing, transportation and land use in our region and making opportunities for others to participate.
On that note, please join us on this Wednesday, March 5th for a housing advocacy day in Maryland! [[link removed]] Greater Greater Washington, Coalition for Smarter Growth, and Montgomery for All are joining forces to provide a day of learning and action. Find out more and sign up below.
It's also important to find fun and camaraderie in such times. TranspoBINGO [[link removed]] is happening right now and is the perfect way to make advocacy into a meaningful game. There is still time to participate in advance of the Active Transit Social [[link removed]] on Thursday, March 6 at Metrobar.
More to come in the months ahead! Read on to learn more.

Maryland Housing Advocacy Day [[link removed]]
Wednesday, March 5, 9:00am–1:00pm
Annapolis City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD [[link removed]]
Help make a difference! Join Greater Greater Washington, Coalition for Smarter Growth, and Montgomery for All in Annapolis for a Housing Advocacy Day.
This is a crucial time to share our stories about why abundant, affordable housing matters to Marylanders, and ask our elected leaders to take action. No previous state legislature experience required—we'll train you in everything you need to know to be an effective advocate for sustainable, inclusive housing policy!
Join us at Annapolis City Hall at 9:00 am for coffee and donuts, and we'll go over what to expect and how you can most effectively communicate with your legislators. Then, we'll head over to the House and Senate and meet with representatives from Montgomery County and Prince George's County to advocate for key housing legislation [[link removed]] including:
* Governor Moore's Housing for Jobs Act (HB 503/SB 430)
* The Transit-Oriented Development Reform Act of 2025 (HB 80/SB 190)

* More homes and more classrooms (HB 38)
* A land-value tax for rail stations (HB 330/SB 472)
* Legalizing single-stair residential buildings (HB 489/SB 436)
