“No more in-person town halls.”
– Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), NRCC chair

John,

They’re scared.

House Republicans have been so busy slashing critical programs and doing President Trump’s dirty work that now they can’t even look their own voters in the eye.

This morning, we learned that the head of the House GOP’s campaign arm told Republican lawmakers to stop holding in-person town halls.

Why? Because they’re terrified of the backlash over Trump’s disastrous agenda and the havoc it is wreaking on our nation.

Instead of listening to their constituents, Republicans are hiding behind closed doors and calling Americans with honest concerns about their Social Security benefits, jobs, and small businesses “paid troublemakers.”

That’s shameful. If your Republican representative won’t meet with you because their agenda is so unpopular, maybe a Democrat will.

Hell, maybe I will. If your congressperson refuses to meet, I’ll come host an event in their district to help local Democrats beat ‘em.

Republicans are the dog that caught the car. And now, they would rather duck and run than answer for their failures. If we want leaders who actually show up and fight for working families, we need to take the fight straight to them.

So here’s the deal, John: If they’re too afraid to face their own voters, let’s make sure they hear us loud and clear.

Chip in $10, $25, $50 (whatever works) to let House Republicans know they can’t hide from their constituents.

I’m grateful,

Tim Walz

P.S. If you live in a district where your Republican congressperson won’t face the music, let me know. Maybe I’ll see you there.
