Showcase Students Exhibiting Every Day Civics

MyImpact Challenge with students, and no project is too big or small! We want to hear what students are passionate about and how they work to create change in their communities.

Any student can win up to $10,000 in prizes in the national MyImpact Challenge contest. Additionally, students in select states can win up to $2,000 in state civics fair prizes. Visit the

Share MyImpact Challenge


To submit a project, students must describe an idea they envisioned and brought to life, centered around civic engagement. Each project must have three components:

To enter, student projects must have taken place between May 19, 2024, and May 18, 2025. Multi-year projects started before May 19, 2024, are eligible for entry if their activity continues after May 18, 2025. Projects that are ongoing as of May 18, 2025, are eligible for entry. Projects completed before May 19, 2024, are not eligible for entry.


Join BRI at the State Civic Fairs

Each state MyImpact Challenge contest includes a civics fair hosted in the state by the Bill of Rights Institute. Students in select states will have an opportunity to share their projects in-person during the state Civics Fair for a chance to win $2,000 in prizes.
