Dear John,

Right now our endorsed, pro-choice women legislators that Ruth’s List helped to elect are in Tallahassee. The State House and Senate are convening for the 2025 Regular Legislative Session, and it’s important that our women know that we have their backs. Nobody fights as hard as these women do.

These women represent us in the fight for our rights within Florida’s government. Republicans in the Legislature have already filed a “fetal personhood” bill that threatens Floridians’ access to in-vitro fertilization and abortion care, which is already banned after 6-weeks of pregnancy in our state. These women’s voices are critical to amplifying terrible legislation like this bill, and that’s why our work is so necessary. 

Since 2008, recruiting, training, and endorsing women running for the State Legislature has been a core piece of our mission. Can you pitch in today to help us continue this 17-year legacy of sending pro-choice, Democratic women to our State Legislature?
