John,
Today we mark a new era in the history of LGBTQ+ Victory Institute. After seven dedicated and impactful years of service and leadership from Mayor Annise Parker, Victory Institute is proud to announce former Campbell City Councilmember, Mayor and California State Assemblymember Evan Low as the next President & CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Institute!
At a time when LGBTQ+ rights are under attack at every level of government, representation in public office has never been more critical. LGBTQ+ Victory Institute is leading the charge to ensure that our LGBTQ+ voices are not just heard but that they are shaping policies, driving progress, and making history.
Evan is a longtime advocate and trailblazer. He has spent his career breaking barriers—from becoming the youngest out LGBTQ+ mayor in the U.S. during his tenure, to championing marriage equality and economic justice in the California State Assembly. He’s also a longtime member of the Victory Institute family, both as a former David Bohnett Fellow and a Victory Institute board member. Now, he’s bringing his leadership and experience to Victory Institute, expanding opportunities for LGBTQ+ leaders and building a more inclusive future for all.
Now is the time to act and help welcome Evan into his new role. Donate to support LGBTQ+ Victory Institute’s programs, trainings and more!
Your support fuels our movement. Whether through a donation spreading the word, you are helping build a world where LGBTQ+ voices are impossible to ignore.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we will continue to fight for a future where more LGBTQ+ people have seats at the tables of power and the ability to create change. Thank you for your support, and for helping us give Evan a warm Victory Institute welcome!
In unity and power,
Orie Givens
