John,
This year, Equality Virginia launched our 2025-2027 Strategic Plan [[link removed]?] , built from deep community engagement and a commitment to our vision to achieve lived equality for LGBTQIA+ Virginians. Our plan focuses on building LGBTQIA+ community power, strengthening partnerships, and co-developing advocacy strategies that center the needs of our communities. As we continue our critical work advocating and organizing for LGBTQIA+ equality across Virginia, we need passionate change makers.
Equality Virginia is looking for dedicated leaders to join our Board of Directors! We are looking for folks who can bring diverse voices, strengthen community connections, and enhance the Board’s outreach, fundraising, and advocacy roles. As a Board member, you will play a crucial role in securing the organization’s future, ensuring that Equality Virginia continues to grow and create lasting impact.
To make leadership more accessible and inclusive, we have transitioned from a nomination-based process to an open application process. This change allows us to welcome a broader range of leaders who share our values and ensures we have a Board that more fully represents and reflects all queer Virginians. We encourage anyone interested to apply, regardless of prior connections to Equality Virginia, and ask for your flexibility as we learn and grow with this new process!
If you or someone you know is interested in making a difference, we encourage you to apply! Click the button below to learn more about Board service, our 3-year strategic plan and submit your application by Friday March 7th!
