Did you know that March 3rd – 7th, is Read Across America week? A week-long celebration of reading.
Read Across America Week is about making reading for everyone and about everyone. Who could possibly have an issue with that? Sadly, a lot of people do. These are issues that we still face today: Book banning – particularly books with LGBTQ+ characters, removing references to African American history, ginned up panics about Critical Race Theory, and the defunding of schools and libraries.

Education is a key value for CREDO Mobile. That’s why we support groups like EveryLibrary – fighting for libraries and against book bans; Zinn Education Project – introducing students to a more accurate understanding of history; Facing History and Ourselves – connecting young people to factual history, and many others.
In honor of Read Across America Week, we invite you to check out our affiliate store on Bookshop.org.
