Dear John,
Recent News
As we head into spring, I’ve had the chance to spend some time back home in our district, meeting with many of you and hearing about the great things happening in our communities. Back in Washington, we’ve been working hard on policies that keep us fiscally responsible, support small businesses, and make sure our country stays safe and secure.
This month, we passed H. Con. Res. 14, the U.S. Government's budget for fiscal year 2025. This lays the foundation for the budget through 2034 and makes some important changes. We’re delivering $1.5 trillion in savings across areas like energy, education, and agriculture to help reduce the deficit. It also sets aside up to $300 billion to strengthen our defense and secure our borders. On top of that, we’ve protected President Trump’s tax cuts and ensured no new tax hikes, with $4.5 trillion dedicated to keeping those in place.
This bill is a critical step toward securing a brighter future for our country and staying true to the promises we’ve made to the American people.
