George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery
National Domestic Workers Alliance and Families Belong Together

John,

As an organization made up of women of color, many of whom are Black mothers and caregivers, we are devastated by the loss of George Floyd, Tony McDade, and Breonna Taylor's lives.

Today, in our grief, we call for justice.

From long before the global pandemic took over our lives, we lived within a system that has developed, maintained and protected racism -- allowing police and vigilante violence against Black people that has taken Black lives with impunity.

We deserve a world where Black lives matter, and our loved ones are safe, respected, and supported to be their full selves, free from racial and gendered violence and targeting.

Justice can't be completely met with today's arrest of Derek Chauvin, but it can start here. Join me in supporting Color of Change, an allied racial justice organization, and their demands for action. I urge you to support them:

Stand with Color of Change and text DEMANDS to 55156

George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Sean Reed, and many more. All with dreams, stories, and people who loved them. What they have in common is that they should all still be alive today.

In the midst of so much recent loss and devastation that has crushed Black workers, Black communities, and Black families, we've run out of words to describe the pain and loss. It's unbearable.

Now, there can be only action for justice.

Our country must not enable and perpetuate white supremacy and police brutality any longer, and everyone receiving this email has a role we can play.

Text DEMANDS to 55156, to support Color of Change to fight for a country where Black lives matter, and justice runs through this country like a mighty stream.

Thanks for all you do,

Ai-jen Poo
