Folks,

The Republican budget plan would be disastrous for working families, and a huge payday for the richest of the rich.

Their bill cuts trillions in government spending to afford massive tax handouts for billionaires. Here are just a few ways this budget steals from taxpayers to give to the rich.

* Cutting SNAP by $230 billion — which helps 42 million people avoid going hungry.
* Slashing Medicaid by $880 million — which ensures 72 million people, or 1 in 5 Americans.
* Ending expansion of energy investments — which have saved millions of families a combined $8.4 billion (yes, with a B).

It’s egregious that House Republicans have approved a budget that so clearly disenfranchises millions of Americans.

While House Republicans successfully pushed this bill forward in the reconciliation processes, this fight is far from over. Along with my fellow Democrats, I will continue to push back against Republicans’ assault on everyday Americans.

When the GOP supermajority betrays the very people who elected them just to further enrich billionaires, that’s all the confirmation we need that things need to change NOW.

If it’s within your budget, please chip in $5 or any amount to help us defeat their trifecta majority and take back the Senate next year. [[link removed]]
