Follow LCB on Bluesky Social!

LCB has officially created a Bluesky Social account, joining many other Washington State agencies on a new social media platform. If you’re on Bluesky, follow us at wslcb.bsky.social! We are working to verify our account and change our handle to our official website: lcb.wa.gov.

What is Bluesky?

Bluesky Social is an open-source social media platform, initially launched as a project by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. From the “About” page on their website: “Bluesky is a social app that is designed to not be controlled by a single company. We’re creating a version of social media where it’s built by many people, and it still comes together as a cohesive, easy-to-use experience.”

Bluesky Social allows users to share short (300 character) text posts, images, gifs, and other media. As of Jan. 2025, it has over 30 million users.

What will we post?

Expect to see amplification of many of our agency messages, emergency updates, quarterly newsletter releases, reminders about public meetings, and other important notifications that we share with stakeholders on our page. We plan to provide agencywide updates and collaborate with other Washington State agencies to provide useful and helpful information to our followers.
