Check out this rising star as she talks about the issues we care about.

Friend,

Tomorrow night, Donald Trump will give the State of the Union in front of Congress and the nation.

Without even watching, we know that Trump will not say anything that is actually in touch with the needs of working families. He and his billionaire bro, Elon Musk, have proven over the last six weeks that all they care about is enriching corporations and destroying every program meant to support the 60% of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck.(1)

Instead of listening to Trump’s hateful drivel, we are excited to share that Courage California-endorsed Congresswoman Lateefah Simon (CA-12) will be giving the Working Families Party State of the Union!

Rep. Simon truly understands the state of the nation and what the average American is facing.

A working mom who has struggled with medical debt, she knows the danger that Trump’s attacks on Medicare and Medicaid are posing to our well being. She is a longstanding social justice activist and nonprofit leader who created an anti-recividism initiative in San Francisco called Back on Track and also fought for affordable public transportation on the BART board of directors.

Now Rep. Simon is fighting for us in Congress! In just her first term as a representative, Rep. Simon is a Deputy Whip for Policy and Vice Chair of the Progressive Caucus, working to lower costs of health care and lessen the homelessness epidemic.

These are the issues our leaders need to spotlight, and we are so excited to see our own rockstar California representative take center stage tomorrow night!

Thank you for being in the fight!
