This month, the Trump administration announced sweeping layoffs—and thousands of those who were fired were VA employees.

On top of that, Elon Musk and DOGE have been eyeing big cuts to the VA and firing VA workers. These cuts could have a major impact on essential services from primary care and mental health care to cancer care and toxic exposure assessments.

Look, I’m all for cutting costs and protecting money, but I’m not for Trump and DOGE taking a hacksaw to veterans’ healthcare. Caring for veterans is part of the cost of war, and the American people expect us to pay it.

I’m sick and tired of watching politicians wrap themselves in the flag in campaign ads, but then stab veterans in the back like this.

I’m fighting back for my fellow veterans and the care they earned, and I need your support in this fight. Will you sign my petition demanding a stop to VA cuts?

3.5 million veterans (like me) get their healthcare in-house at the VA—many of whom have service-related disabilities.

Selling off the VA betrays veterans who sacrificed for this nation. We didn't serve only to come home and watch politicians dismantle the VA.
