Dear John,

This Saturday, March 8 is International Women’s Day. We invite you to join us this week in celebrating women and girls and the milestones we’ve collectively achieved thus far in securing gender equality. While times are uncertain, Equality Now feels hopeful that our collective experience and global staff’s ability to create transformational change – even in difficult contexts and against fierce opposition – will continue to bring us closer to a more gender equal world.

Here are four easy ways to support women and girls this week and to learn more about Equality Now’s work to achieve legal equality:
  1. Donate in honor of a loved one this International Women’s Day. Recognize a special woman, girl, or ally with a gift in their honor. If you include their email address at check-out, Equality Now will send them an e-card.
  2. Attend our free virtual event “Holding the Line: Mapping the Course for Women’s Rights in 2025 and Beyond” tomorrow, March 4, to better understand global trends, including threats to democracy and a resurgence of anti-rights movements, and how we can organize and hope for a more equal future.
  3. Test your knowledge with Equality Now’s gender equality quiz. Do you know what proportion of global unpaid care work is carried out by women? Or how many women around the world experience sexual violence in their lifetime? Take our quiz to find the answers.
  4. Explore our Feminist Culture Club articles and choose a book, movie, or podcast that speaks to you. Our recommendations range from pop culture picks to works that will expand your knowledge and way of thinking.
Thank you for joining us in celebrating International Women’s Day this year. With your support, we can do even more to create change in 2025 and beyond.
In solidarity,
Equality Now
