REGISTER HERE Tuesday, May 4 is The Big Share, an online day of giving that supports 1000 Friends of Wisconsin and nearly 70 member nonprofits of Community Shares of Wisconsin. You can support us by donating through The Big Share website or through the donation portal on our website or by mailing a check to: 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, 820 W. WHAT: The West Allis Transportation Academy is a free 9-week course open to anyone who wants to connect the dots between how our streets, sidewalks, and transit systems are designed and the impact on our everyday lives. We demystify transportation systems and help bridge the gap between members of the public and decision makers. Learn about transportation plans and processes, hear from local and national experts invited as guest speakers, take local tours, and best of all, connect with others in your community. WHEN: Wednesdays from 4-6pm, April 2 – May 28, 2025 WHERE: 4 in-person session in West Allis, 5 virtual sessions on Zoom WHO: Anyone interested in learning more about local transportation policy and how to be a better advocate for change! This action packed event will take place on April 16, 2025 at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus in Minneapolis.
