Most elected officials understand that voters have a First Amendment right
to criticize their record.

But not California Rep. Devin Nunes.

Trump's #1 stooge in Congress is suing to shut down two parody Twitter
accounts that are critical of his record.(1)

This just shows how desperate and worried Devin Nunes is about his
reelection. We came within just a few points of beating Devin Nunes in
2018, and we're gearing up to finish the job in 2020.

in Devin Nunes's district calling him out for standing with Trump against
his district?

Congressman Nunes is suing Twitter to shut down two accounts -- @DevinCow
and @DevinNunesMom -- that poke holes in Nunes' claim that he's a farmer,
and highlight his knee-jerk support for Trump and other outrageous
positions he's taken.(2)

But Nunes' lawsuits have backfired on him by drawing attention to these
accounts, which have gained tens of thousands of followers and are
directing support to his opponent in 2020.(3)

But Twitter isn't the reason Nunes is in trouble. It's his cringeworthy,
boot-licking support for Donald Trump.

Just last week, Nunes got one of his staffers who had helped undermine the
Mueller investigation into a high-powered national security position at
the White House.(4) And Nunes is on a right-wing media campaign during the
recess, spreading lies about the evidence against Trump instead of meeting
with his constituents.(5)

We're organizing the same grassroots get-out-the-vote efforts that allowed
us to beat a whopping seven Republicans in California in 2018 and come
within just a few points of beating Nunes. With your help, we'll be able
to put an ad on the Facebook page of every voter in the district, calling
out Nunes' direct connection to Trump.
