Black Lives Matter. Today. Tomorrow. And Always. 

Our statement reguarding the murder of George Floyd

The state must be held accountable for allowing its duty to serve the public be subverted to murder Black people. The lives of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, to name a few out of thousands, were taken in acts of state-sanctioned murder.  

We challenge our government institutions to clarify which policies officers are sworn to enforce. The routine failure to punish murderers in uniform suggests that enforcing white supremacy through violence is more important than protecting human life.  

March for Our Lives stands with local activists to demand justice for the specific forms of deadly violence wielded against Black Americans.

To hold the Minneapolis Police department and the government it represents accountable, call the Hennepin County's District Attorney's Office and demand justice for the murder of George Floyd: 612-348-5550

• Support the Minnesota Freedom Fund to help bail out protestors who were arrested.

• Sunday May 31st @2:30PM EST- MFOL Maryland is hosting a Virtual Art Gallery. This event aims to provide the audience with a variety of different perspectives of gun-violence while encouraging viewers to become politically and socially active during this time of quarantine. RSVP HERE.
• Monday May 1st @6PM EST- Poetic Justice, a March For Our Lives book Club. We will discuss the next book we are reading. You don't need to read anything before joining, so come hang out with us! RSVP HERE.
• Wednesday June 10th March For Our Lives DC is organizing OUR POWER On The Hill, a Virtual Lobby Day. Throughout the day, we will be meeting with our elected officials to ask them to support funding life-saving violence intervention programs, collecting information regarding gun sales that have occurred over the last few months, protecting our right to vote, and ensuring that young people are included in the next response to Covid-19.  RSVP HERE.
