UK, France Agree to Assist Ukraine in Peace Negotiations

Townhall: The United Kingdom and France are working together to form a “Coalition of the Willing” to craft a peace plan for Ukraine, which they intend to present to President Donald Trump. The move comes as both European nations seek to address the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia and anticipate the potential shift in U.S. foreign policy under Trump’s leadership. Western leaders hope to revive a peace deal with tensions rising between the U.S. and Ukraine. On Sunday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the UK and France are prepared to send troops to Ukraine as peacekeepers. However, other European nations, including Italy, Germany, and Poland, have rejected the proposal. Starmer emphasized the need for European countries to take a more proactive approach (Townhall). NBC: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced billions in support for Ukraine on Sunday following a summit with European leaders. Starmer announced a loan of 2.2 billion British pounds ($2.8 billion) to support Ukraine, funded through the freezing of Russian assets passed on Saturday. He also highlighted a new deal that would allow Ukraine to use 1.6 billion pounds ($2 billion) in export finance to buy missiles made in Northern Ireland. Starmer vowed to bolster Ukraine to allow the nation to negotiate a peace agreement from a position of power (NBC).

Former Biden Aid Admits Administration Intentionally Misled Public About His Mental Capacity
Townhall: An aide to former President Joe Biden has publicly admitted that the administration misled the American public. The admission acknowledges that the administration engaged in gaslighting tactics to downplay the president’s health and age. The admission has raised ongoing questions about the Biden administration’s transparency and handling of critical issues during its office. Despite many Democrats raising concerns about Biden’s health, his own administration chose to ignore the problem. Michael LaRosa told Puck News that the Biden administration considered the 81-year-old president’s age a real issue, yet his staff continued to lie to the public and dismiss such claims. He remarked that Biden’s team was terrified whenever the former president participated in an unrehearsed or unscripted interview… “Biden needed the press, but when he needed the press the most, they didn’t trust him. And then the press put their foot on the gas and never took it off, and he was politically dead in a month,” he told the outlet (Townhall). Newsweek: Democrats, for months, have been debating the reasons for their defeats. While many point to ideological or policy reasons, others say the debacle cost the party trust among voters and was a key factor in why Harris could not win back voters against Trump (Newsweek).

Pentagon Set to Deploy 3.000 Additional Troops to Southern Border
New York Post: The Pentagon will deploy approximately 3,000 additional active-duty troops to the US-Mexico border over the coming weeks to bolster President Trump’s ongoing crackdown on illegal crossings. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered a Stryker brigade combat team as well as a general support aviation battalion to the border to reinforce  and “protect the territorial integrity of the United States,” the Pentagon announced Saturday. The brigade is a U.S. Army infantry unit that uses Stryker armored vehicles to fight in urban areas. The new troops will be arriving along the Mexican border over the coming weeks, and will continue to cut down illegal crossings, which have plummeted since President Trump took office (New York Post). Pete Hegseth: We are dead serious about 100% OPERATIONAL CONTROL of the southern border (X).

U.S. Sees Record Low Number of Illegal Border Crossings in February
Daily Wire: President Donald Trump revealed on Saturday that the United States experienced by far the lowest number of illegal alien encounters at the border in history — a major victory for the new administration (Daily Wire). Donald Trump: There were only 8,326 apprehensions of Illegals by Border Patrol at the U.S. – Mexico Border, all of whom were quickly ejected from our Nation or, when necessary, prosecuted for crimes against the United States of America. This means that very few people came – The Invasion of our Country is OVER. In comparison, under Joe Biden, there were 300,000 Illegals crossing in one month, and virtually ALL of them were released into our Country (Truth). Secretary Kristi Noem: February was the lowest month in recorded history for encounters at our border. The world is hearing our message: do not come to our country illegally. If you do, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back. Thank you President Donald Trump for your strong leadership and to our brave CBP officers and agents for keeping America safe. We’re just getting started (X).

The attacker tried to stab two people before he was shot. Wu addressed the situation in remarks on Saturday, offering her “condolences” over the death of the knife-wielding man (Daily Wire). Bostonians Against Mayor Wu: Tonight, a knife-wielding attacker tried to kill multiple people in Boston. Police stopped the threat and shot them. Mayor Wu went on television offering condolences—to the criminal. Unbelievable. This city cares more about protecting criminals than residents (X).

Report Finds America’s 75 Largest Cities in Major Debt
Just the News: A large majority of the 75 largest cities in the U.S. are in financial trouble. Truth in Accounting released the report, which evaluated the 75 largest cities in the country, arguing that the majority of cities have financial problems and owe thousands of dollars in debt per taxpayer… Truth In Accounting has called on Congress to adopt full accrual accounting, which “provides a far more complete and transparent picture of financial performance. It accounts for all financial obligations – both current and future – by recognizing expenses when they are incurred rather than when cash changes hands.” For example, the federal government reports its national debt at around $36 trillion; Truth in Accounting says it is actually about 4.5 five times larger. Retiree health benefits and pensions are a major weight around the necks of many city budgets, dragging them into debt (Just the News). Truth in Accounting: The 75 cities had $321 billion worth of assets available to pay bills; their debt, including unfunded retirement benefit promises, amounted to $621.7 billion. Pension debt totaled $192.1 billion, and other postemployment benefits (OPEB), mainly retiree health care, totaled $136.4 billion (Report).

Science Writer States Defying “Scientific Census” Should Be Considered Criminal Activity
National Review: The push to impose rule by “scientific consensus” continues apace — even as the American people clearly rejected that view in the last election (thanks in no small part to how the public health consensus blew the Covid response). But the science powers that be refuse to learn. In fact, they appear to be doubling down. Now, Ethan Siegel, an astrophysicist and award-winning science writer, advocates for criminally and civilly punishing violators of the “scientific consensus.” But conformity of belief does not make right. The supposed scientific consensus can be more ideology than science. Siegel really goes off the rail when he argues that actions taken contrary to the scientific consensuses should subject the violator to criminal or civil punishment for “reckless endangerment.” No! Not following the scientific consensus, say, by refusing a flu or Covid shot should not be a crime or subject one to civil liability. Such a system would amount to an authoritarian technocracy (National Review).

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Announces His Campaign for Mayor of NYC
National Review: Andrew Cuomo, the disgraced New York governor who resigned over sexual assault allegations in 2021, has officially launched his campaign for New York City mayor as a Democrat after he was widely speculated to run for months. Cuomo is already considered the clear front-runner in the mayoral race to replace Mayor Eric Adams, who has found himself in hot water lately after the Department of Justice moved to dismiss his federal indictment (National Review). Megyn Kelly: Andrew Cuomo, the biggest liar in New York, wants to be mayor (X). Host Mike Sperrazza: Remember when he killed the elderly by throwing all the sick ones back into the nursing home (X)?

FBI Returns Boxes to Trump That Were Confiscated During Mar-a-Lago Raid
National Review: The FBI returned boxes taken during its search of Mar-a-Lago for classified documents to President Donald Trump on Friday. “The FBI is giving the President his property back that was taken during the unlawful and illegal raids. We are taking possession of the boxes today and loading them onto Air Force One,” White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said. White House staffers could be seen loading about 15 boxes onto Air Force One, as the president prepared to leave for his private Florida residence over the weekend. It was unclear whether the boxes contained any classified documents. Nonetheless, Trump celebrated the return of his property (National Review). Donald Trump: The Department of Justice has just returned the boxes that Deranged Jack Smith made such a big deal about. They are being brought down to Florida and will someday be part of the Trump Presidential Library (Truth).
