Thank you all for your resistance efforts this past week!


Save the Date: March 23rd!!! On Sunday, March 23rd from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., we will be hosting our first in-person (and virtual) meeting of the year. This meeting will feature a state roundtable with Adrielle Camuel (93), Anne Gay Donworth (76), Cherlynn Stevenson, and possibly others, and National Indivisible Co-Founder Ezra Levin will be a special guest speaker! The Location is TBD. It is essential that you RSVP because attendance count determines the venue. Please RSVP in the private group event if you're in the private group on Facebook, or send us an email at [email protected].

  • NATIONAL: MARCH 4TH FOR DEMOCRACY PROTEST - Frankfort & Lexington
    Grab your protest signs! Another 50501 protest will be happening at the Kentucky State Capitol Building in Frankfort on Tuesday, March 4th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Click here for the Mobilize eventPeaceful Bluegrass Resistance will be protesting at the Lexington Courthouse Plaza at the same time, same day. 

     
  • NATIONAL: PROTECT OUR KIDS! STOP THE CUTS! - RALLY - MARCH 4TH - Lexington
    KY 120 UNITED-AFT is hosting a sign rally in front of the old board of education building (701 East Main Street, Lexington) on Tuesday, March 4, from 3:30-6 pm. ! This rally is in protest of the Department of Education cuts. The goal is to make the public aware of what these cuts will do and how they will harm students, educators, parents, public schools, and communities. KY 120 UNITED-AFT encourages you to make signs and WEAR BLUE in solidarity.   • NATIONAL: STAND UP FOR SCIENCE KENTUCKY RALLY - MARCH 7TH
    The Standup for Science 2025 rally will be at the Frankfort State Capitol Building on Friday, March 7th from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. Structured programming will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Visit the Facebook event for more details

     
  • STATE: CALL THE LRC HOTLINE!
    On the state level, over 1,100 bills have been filed in this short legislative session! Republicans have filed numerous egregious bills. One such bill is HB495, which could legalize anti-LGBTQ+ conversion torture. Please call to oppose this bill! Please call 1-800-372-7181 to voice your opinion.   • NATIONAL: ORGANIZED OFFICE VISITS - SIGN UP NOW! - We need a few more volunteers!
    We have a member who will be organizing visits at the offices of our members of Congress starting in March. These small group visits will be by appointment and will include well-researched talking points. If you are interested, please send us an email at [email protected].
     
  • NATIONAL: CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
    Call your members of Congress and let them know how you feel about topics that most concern you. The Indivisible website's section Take Action Now and the 5 Calls website provide talking points and information.
