Here’s what happened:
Back in March 2021, Officer Gaitan was called to respond to an urgent situation.
When he arrived, three officers were already struggling on the ground with a violent suspect.
This was no ordinary suspect—he was a known drug user, a repeat offender, and a man so strong that it once took multiple officers and a Taser just to bring him under control.
Officer Gaitan knew exactly who this was. He had fought this same man before and knew how dangerous he was. If they didn’t subdue him fast, someone could get seriously injured—or worse.
So Alex used his non-lethal Taser—and just like before, it worked.
The suspect stopped resisting. No officers were hurt. No one died. The threat was neutralized.
That should have been the end of it.
But nearly two years later, radical anti-police District Attorney José Garza blindsided Alex with a criminal indictment for aggravated assault—even though it was the suspect who attacked the officers!
Now, Officer Alex Gaitan could spend the rest of his life behind bars—for protecting his fellow officers and doing his job.
This isn’t justice. This is a politically motivated attack.
José Garza and his anti-police allies don’t care about the facts—they just want to destroy cops.
And if they get away with this, who’s next?
Because of this sham indictment, Officer Gaitan and his family are now facing financial ruin as they fight to keep him out of prison. His legal defense will cost over $150,000, and like most people, he doesn’t have that money lying around to fight this alone.
But we’re not going to abandon him.
The National Center for Police Defense (NCPD) is standing with Officer Gaitan—but we need YOUR help.
Will you chip in $50 right now to help us defend Officer Gaitan before his March 24 trial?
Every day, good officers are being targeted, prosecuted, and destroyed by radical left-wing DAs.
We must fight back, or America’s law enforcement will be crippled forever.
This is our moment to take a stand.
Donate NOW to help Officer Gaitan fight back before it’s too late.
Every dollar makes a difference. Every second counts.
