It's tough to describe how I'm feeling in these final days, but if I had to pick one word it'd be this:

Gratitude.

I'm so unbelievably thankful for all the work we've done together this past year. Thankful to the volunteers who gave their precious time to a cause they believe in, to the grassroots donors who supported our efforts and made change possible, and to you, friend, for being here in the final stretch.

As a baseball coach, I've always understood that I'm nothing without the hard work and dedication of the team I'm working with. The same has been true for this election and team we've forged together.

I've always thought of this primary as the "regular season" before the playoffs.

And without question, this is the best team I've ever been a part of. But right now, we're entering the final inning of the final regular-season game of the election. It's the bottom of the ninth, and the bases are loaded.
