It’s straight out of an authoritarian playbook. Trump and Musk are trying to scare us by saying – with ZERO evidence – that the Social Security Administration is infested by widespread fraud. Then they’ll use those lies to justify slashing vital services that millions rely on to survive.
Why? All so they can save money and push through MASSIVE new tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.
The scary truth is that thanks to Musk, cuts are already happening. By closing local Social Security offices, thousands will suddenly be cut off from the benefits they’ve earned. Many Social Security recipients rely on in-person service – 119,000 people have to visit Social Security offices every single day! And often, it's the most vulnerable folks who don’t have access to a computer or need help navigating the system.
One thing is for sure – we’re quickly going to see the horrific consequences for seniors and disabled Americans if their Social Security benefits are interrupted, slashed, or ripped away. And Musk is nowhere NEAR done yet.
Democrats and the grassroots are OUTRAGED, rallying outside the SSA offices and demanding answers. But Musk isn’t slowing down. We’re going to need EVERYONE to join in to pile pressure on Congress to save Social Security.
