It was a busy week for Elon, folks.
He kicked it off by sending federal workers across the country an email, asking them to account for what they did in the past week and claiming they’d lose their jobs if they didn’t respond.
And then the news broke that starting as soon as TODAY, federal workers are slated to start receiving weekly emails asking for descriptions of what they did in the past week so Trump and Musk can decide whether that agency is furthering the president’s agenda.
First of all – it’s not nuts to ask federal employees to report what they’re working on. My staff has to do weekly reports. It’s just the WAY Musk did this. What is he planning on doing? Reading 2 million emails? This is not serious stuff.
You might have then seen the news that 21 DOGE staffers resigned, saying they didn’t want to “dismantle critical public services.” They also warned Americans that those who were enlisted to help Musk at DOGE didn’t even have the necessary skills or experience for their tasks.
Things started to look up for Elon again when the Federal Aviation Administration – where he’s recommending making funding cuts – gave Elon Musk’s SpaceX a government contract. Conflict of interest, anyone?!
My point with all of this is, it’s not just about the fact that DOGE is slashing federal funding under the guise of government efficiency – it’s about how he’s doing it. The utter carelessness with which our unelected co-president approaches this whole enterprise is astounding, frankly.
Because behind the headlines of mass layoffs, there are people with families, bills, and responsibilities that suddenly have their lives turned upside down because of Musk’s insane political stunts.
I’m not going to stop holding Elon accountable. I’m not going to stop fighting against his insane directives that benefit himself while hurting Americans. That means he’s going to target me in 2026, and that’s why I need your help: Will you chip in anything you can to help me fight back and win re-election in 2026 so I can keep holding Elon accountable on the national stage?
