My Fellow Kansas Republicans,
These past two years have felt both like a lifetime and too but a moment. It has been an incredible honor to serve as your Chairman, and I am deeply grateful for your trust, your dedication, and your unwavering support.
From the very beginning, we set out to build a stronger, more effective, and more united KSGOP. Together, we accomplished the mission. And of utmost importantance, we won.
Because of your hard work, our party is stronger than ever. We fought for conservative values, strengthened our grassroots efforts, and secured victories that will shape the future of Kansas and our nation. Today, we celebrate not just the past, but the bright road ahead.
With these many successes in mind, it is time for me to focus on my family while continuing to support the movement we’ve built together. But you’ll be hearing my name again soon… and maybe, just maybe, on the ballot again.
President Thomas Jefferson once said, “I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.”
As I voluntarily step away from this post at this election in a peaceful transition to the next KSGOP Chairman, I share that optimism.
Our Republican Party is leading America to a place where our dreams await in a very bright future. Even in the toughest times, we Republicans lift our eyes toward that shining city on the hill knowing perfection is unachievable but yearning, striving, pushing, and ever hopeful. And in the best of times, we continue the hard work of Making America Great Again.
For three long decades, Kristi and I have stood shoulder to shoulder with you in this fight. And in Patriots like you, we see the best traits of our party - honesty, transparency, hopefulness, resilience, compassion, and strength. This great party will never tire, never falter, and it will never fail.
So, my fellow Kansans, for now: I bid you farewell and wish you only the very best. May the endless bounties of our loving God and the sweet fruits of your labors bring you happiness, pride and joy.
May God continue to bless our party, our next Chairman, the Great State of Kansas, and the United States of America.
