Designated wilderness areas, national parks, military bases, and more make up a huge chunk of our state — and the Trump administration’s recklessness has suddenly called into question the stewardship of these lands. Federal workers have been cut, fire prevention programs abandoned, and basic maintenance at federal facilities isn’t being done.
These cuts go well beyond impacts to hikers, bikers, and offroading enthusiasts. They have been enacted without Congressional approval and are designed to degrade the ability of the government to solve problems.
