Let me lay out the stakes, John:
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are waging an all out assault on our democracy.
Senator Susan Collins is rubbing shoulders with Trump and his cronies at Mar-a-Lago.
Electing another Democratic governor in 2026 is an essential xxxxxx against the theft of our democracy by the billionaires who are calling the shots in Washington. But in modern Maine history we have never elected two Democratic governors in a row.
Sound dire? I agree. Our health care, social security, protection for workers, support for farmers, help for the most vulnerable, and our proud tradition of protecting democracy around the world are all on the chopping block. It’s scary to be living through such an unprecedented time.
But it’s also an opportunity for Maine Democrats to come together and fight back. Every dollar we raise now makes us that much stronger in 2026, when we have a crucial opportunity to protect Maine and help the nation turn back the onslaught of billionaire oligarchs.
