Tired of Pornography in Schools?

The Senate Committee on Education K-16 held a hearing yesterday on SB 13 authored by Senator Angela Paxton to effectively resolve the issue of porn remaining in our school libraries.

The Senate Education Committee also heard SB 371 the “Parental Permission for Human Sexuality Instruction” bill, also known as Sex-ed Opt-in. Changing the law to have the schools ask a student’s parent permission to teach about human sexuality has been a long-fought effort by parents. In 2021, the law changed from Sex Ed Opt-Out to Opt-In, but only temporarily. Currently, schools should still be sending home permission slips before teaching Sex-ed thanks to a policy letter by Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Education Agency.

We need it to become permanent in law that schools leave human sexuality instruction in the hands of the parents!

Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations said:
“Parents want to see sexually explicit books removed from school libraries. The process should be clear and easy to navigate. I am confident that the Texas Senate can find a way to create policies that survive legal challenges and can ensure children are protected from harmful materials”. Watch her testimony in favor of  SB 13 here. Jonathan Covey, Policy Director for Texas Values also testified in favor of SB 13 view his testimony here. “SB 13 makes it clear that you don't mess with Texas kids."

The Texas Values Policy Team will be at the State Capitol every day during the 2025 Legislative Session, testifying on our behalf.

Yesterday was a big day for faith and family issues! Senate Bill (SB) 18 by Senator Bryan Hughes to ban drag queen "story hours" in municipal libraries was heard in the Senate State Affairs Committee!

This bill would put a stop to the inappropriate and early hyper sexualization of our children through "story hour" time where a man dressed as a woman reads stories which promote exploring topics of sexuality and transgender issues. It has been shown in the past that some of these readers also perform at homosexual adult venues.

"It is exposing kids to hyper sexualization with devastating results... children are casualties of these events and nothing is worth the price of the well being of our children." - Jonathan Covey

Texas Values Policy Team Testifying at the Capitol on Our Behalf!

The Texas Values Policy Team testified on several important bills yesterday at the State Capitol. The following is a sampling of just a few, please click on the bill number to view each testimony:

Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values testified in favor of SB 1565 a bill submitted by Sen. Brandon Creighton which would ban DEI programs in K-12 schools. "A grievance process and hearing delayed turns out to be a grievance process and hearing denied. So often parents wait so long for a meaningful response from school districts that they simply give up."  ~ Jonathan Saenz

Jonathan Covey, Policy Director for Texas Values testified in favor of SB 371 authored by several Senators relating to parental approval for a student's participation in human sexuality instruction in public schools. "Parents deserve the clear ability to make decisions about the approach on educating children about sex."

Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values testified in favor of SB 12 authored by Sen. Brandon Creighton, which will prohibit sexual orientation and gender identity to be discussed in the classroom. “According to a Pew Research Study from 2924, 62 percent of elementary school teachers said gender identity should not be taught in schools.” ~ Mary Elizabeth Castle

Megan Benton, Strategic Policy Associate for Texas Values testified in favor of SB 204 authored by Sen. Angela Paxton relating to a handbook on parental rights in education and training requirements on parental rights in education. “This bill protects the rights of parents. Parents have the responsibility to take care of and raise their children as they see fit. School administrators and employees have the responsibility to respect these rights." - Megan Benton

Man Approaches Young Female Staff in Women’s Restroom at Texas Capitol!

Last week, it was revealed that a young woman who works for a Texas state representative has come forward about being approached by a man in the women’s restroom at the TX Capitol.

Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations said:

“For years they did not believe us, but it is happening right under the pink dome: men are entering women’s restrooms even at the Texas Capitol and putting women in uncomfortable and dangerous positions. If men are allowed to enter women’s restrooms at the Capitol, then they are for certain entering women’s locker rooms and restrooms in gyms and especially in our public schools! Women should feel safe going to the restroom at our Capitol whether they work there or are simply visiting. We must protect women’s spaces.”

Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values, interviews special guest Dr. Eithan Haim, MD., Texas Children's Hospital Child "Sex-Change" Whistleblower as he breaks his silence since claiming victory!

"It's unbelievable to even be talking right now, and be on this side of this issue. This side of the battle, where we won!

What they were doing is they were breaking the law in pursuing this case. After months and months of complete and utter corruption. They went even further with trying to gag me. And the judge went along with it.

The judge was getting ready to sign an arrest warrant...for me doing nothing other than speaking the truth, he was going to send me to jail.

If I was going to go to jail, I had accepted that outcome. It's inconceivable to think that any judge would even do something like that. We knew there was nothing I did that violated any law." ~ Dr. Eithan Haim, MD

"Because of YOU!" the Lord responded. And I said, "I haven't done anything, Lord!" with which God responded, "That's exactly right."
