Donald Trump and his allies are recklessly cutting essential programs Coloradans rely on — all to hand more tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations.

Just this week, 217 House Republicans voted to rip away health care from the American people and gut Medicaid.

This isn’t just wrong — it’s not what the American people voted for.

A recent poll shows that 71% of Trump voters oppose Medicaid cuts. But Donald Trump and his Republican cronies don’t care about the voters who put them in power.

Their priority? Lining their own pockets and the pockets of their wealthy allies and backers.

I ran for Congress because I was tired of politicians putting their special interest donors ahead of the people they’re supposed to serve. If there’s ever been a time to put country over party, it’s right now.

Families don’t care about partisan games and political stunts. They care about affording groceries, keeping their kids safe at school, and making ends meet. That’s why I’m fighting to lower costs, create well-paying jobs, and defend our fundamental freedoms.

But Trump and his allies are working hard to roll back our progress. They’re putting democracy at risk at home and abroad. They’re lining their own pockets all while Americans are struggling to afford basic necessities like eggs and gas.

We have to hold them accountable.
