Dear neighbor,
On Tuesday night, every single House Democrat voted against the extreme Republican budget that rips away health care and food assistance from kids, families, and veterans. All of us, including a member who just had a baby, and another that came from the hospital after multiple surgeries, showed up to fight back.
Unfortunately, the Republican majority voted to pass their budget betrayal. It’s appalling. Instead of focusing on lowering the cost of living, Republicans are focused on delivering more tax cuts for billionaires.
The cruelty of this extremist agenda has no limit. I continue to hear from constituents disturbed by what is happening in Washington. Every day, it is pure chaos – veterans fired from the VA, Trump spreading Russian disinformation, Republicans trying to condition disaster assistance. I won’t stand for any of it.
Day by day, Republican politicians are finding out that their harmful policies are unpopular and extreme. The American people are speaking out and your input truly matters. I encourage you to stay engaged, get involved, and make your voice heard. I will continue to be by your side and fight for the needs of every American.
TRUMPONOMICS SUCKS: Trump’s support is free falling because Trumponomics sucks. Inflation is up. Consumer sentiment is down. His tariffs are increasing prices. Eggs prices are up. The GOP’s billions in Medicaid cuts will hurt everyday Americans. I’m fed up. Watch my remarks from this week’s press conference:
RAMADAN MUBARAK: Tonight is the first night of Ramadan. It's a holy month of reflection and community. Wishing you a blessed Ramdan full of peace and blessings.
