John, 2009 was quite a while ago.

Parks and Recreation first premiered on NBC, Circuit City closed all of its stores, and the EPA had just made its “Endangerment Finding” based on scientific evidence that greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare. This Endangerment Finding, which the EPA was required to undertake by the Supreme Court, meant that the EPA was now legally required to set standards to limit climate pollution from vehicles, power plants, and other sources. And that’s been the legal standard for the past 16 years.

But now, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has reportedly recommended that the White House strike down the landmark Endangerment Finding – turning the clock back, while ignoring the scientific consensus and lurching environmental laws into chaos.

SEEC leaders were quick to hold Administrator Zeldin accountable. Without delay, SEEC leadership members Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-07), Rep. Mike Quigley (IL-05), Rep. Paul Tonko (NY-20), Rep. Don Beyer (VA-08), Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01), Rep. Sean Casten (IL-06), Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49), and Rep. Chellie Pingree (ME-01) called out Administrator Zeldin, reminding him of his commitment he made in his nomination hearing just last month to listen to scientists, follow the law, and protect our environment.

They will continue to turn the heat up on Administrator Zeldin in the interests of the American people – will you power their work with a donation today and help grow the ranks of climate champions in Congress? [[link removed]]

Yes! → [[link removed]]By reversing the Endangerment Finding, Lee Zeldin’s EPA turns its back on the millions of Americans across the nation who are already experiencing the very costly impacts of climate change. 13,000 American households lost their homes in the L.A. wildfires, and dozens of communities were devastated by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The EPA’s core mission is to protect public health and the environment. The failure to act has catastrophic consequences, and there’s no time to spare. Help SEEC members keep the pressure up on Administrator Zeldin by signing on to oppose his decision to rescind the landmark Endangerment Finding! [[link removed]]
