This hits
close to home.

Last week, Trump ended Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for Haiti. With
the country continuing to grapple with unspeakable violence and a horrific
humanitarian, political, and economic crisis, this is a shameful decision
that could be a death sentence for more than 500,000 Haitian nationals
living in the United States.

I am honored to represent the third-largest Haitian diaspora community in
the country and co-chair the House Haiti Caucus. This inhumane decision
not only threatens to tear families apart but also jeopardizes the social
and economic fabric of my city.

Haitians who have lived in the United States for up to 15 years—raising
children, starting businesses, and contributing to their communities—are
at risk of deportation for no reason other than being Haitian.

We should be doing everything possible to save lives and bring stability
and safety to Haiti rather than throwing vulnerable people in harm’s way.

Trump spread dehumanizing lies about Haitian immigrants during the
election and falsely painted people fleeing violence in their home
countries as dangerous criminals.

Do you know who’s actually dangerous? His billionaire best friend, Elon
Musk, who has put our private, sensitive data at risk, left thousands of
dedicated federal workers without an income, dismantled federal agencies,
and gutted consumer protections, all for his own personal gain.

I spoke up when Trump fanned the flames of hysteria against my Haitian
neighbors. I’m speaking up now and doing all I can to reverse this
decision and bring the peace, stability and safety our Haitian neighbors
deserve.

I believe in the power of the people. We’ve proven that if we resist and
if we apply pressure, that we can force them to reverse course. We’re
going to have to keep at it.

you can to power our resistance against the Trump administration and fight
for the people?
