John – it's Sara, and politicians need to do a better job of explaining how our work helps you.
This month, Gov. Evers announced his budget for 2025: Year of the Kid. Here's what we're proposing:
1️⃣ Billions for K-12 education, tech colleges, and the UW system to ensure that our kids have the resources they need to succeed.
2️⃣A property tax freeze and $2 billion in tax relief to lower the costs on working families.
3️⃣ $300 million to get lead out of pipes across Wisconsin.
Our budget proposal is ambitious because we made a commitment to the people of Wisconsin:
We're going to deliver you real results.
Despite a people-first approach to funding our state, state Republicans called this plan "dead on arrival".
John – it's pretty simple: while we're fighting to lower costs and improve lives, Republicans in the legislature would rather play political games.
But we can do something about it: can you chip in to help elect more Democrats and protect Wisconsin?
Thanks
Sara
